Ok, so it's been ages.....
Times just seems to pass by so quickly and here it is nearly six months since my last post. This time I shall learn my lesson and not promise to post more regularly, although I really do hope that I do!
The good news is, that at least I'm here with a lovely new free pattern for you all. Some pretty tie-backs that I made for our garden room
Please see my new website for the pattern: download here
It's written with English crochet directions but I included information about American terms so that you will be able to translate.
Any problems with the pattern, please do let me know...

I'm sorry to say I've been shockingly bad at posting lately and it's all down to the school holidays. Having a little one who has suddenly discovered the computer didn't help either! (Mummy, why are you on my computer??) Anyway, now that school and some kind of routine is now (thankfully) back in place, hopefully I can start posting again.
I have a least been working on a few projects behind the scenes and am glad to say I have a couple of new patterns that I'm almost ready to share too. I'm also currently working on a little home project which will become my first free crochet pattern when I'm all done. So, keep coming by as there will be more very soon....

As well as enjoying my first year with a real, living vegetable patch, I'm also loving knitting/crocheting my own fruit and veg too from '100 flowers to knit & crochet' by Lesley Stanfield (which also includes a few other things)...
So far I've done peas 'n' carrots for another veggie growing friend
Crocheted some ab-so-lutely adorable radishes
And, of course, some beautiful cherries
Very pleasing!
Also in the pipeline are some asparagus, but they are fiddly little devils, so pictures will have to follow soon...

I've finished the massive project that is the Babette Blanket. Hurray for me!
I was making this as a house warming present for my sister's first house and I'm glad to say I got it finished in good time. Too good time actually as I'm all done and she hasn't moved in yet! However, she does actually own the house already, she's just waiting for some building work to be done before she gets in there herself. Still, at least she will have a nice warm blanket ready and waiting for her.

I thought I'd start by letting you know what I'm currently working on, which is the wonderful and somewhat huge Babette Blanket, which some of you in crafty circles may well of heard of! Ravelry has lots of wonderful pictures of other peoples creations which you can look at if you are a member. I would post a link to the pattern but when I tried to find it, it didn't seem to exist! (I'd be happy to update this information if anyone knows better!)
I managed to cobble together my pattern by looking at other people's pictures and I've also added an extra panel of my own to extend it as I wanted a longer, more rectangular blanket. When complete, this is due to be a house warming present for my sister, although it's turning out so nice I kinda want to keep it for myself! The colours are specially selected for her living room though and it should tie in beautifully with the finished decoration (when that's done).
I'm currently sewing all the millions of patches together, which so far, only so far mind you, isn't as arduous as I had feared! Then there will be a border to finish the blanket off. I'll post more pictures of the finished article in due course...
